I’m that person who falls asleep halfway through a movie and then wakes up at the final credits like “oh, is it over?! What did I miss?!?” 🤦🏾♀️... so it’s entirely unsurprising that I’m like “wait, it’s the 31st?! Already?!” - the struggle is real. Anyhoo, the final day of #MeMadeMay2021 is a gorgeous sunny bank holiday in the U.K., and I’ve spent most of it so far in the garden, in this #m7948 sundress (this is an old picture of it). It’s made from a lightweight lawn fabric which feels super breezy and comfortable in the heat.
When the weather is saying “you need a trench, but not full trench, so go cropped trench, but be sure to walk fast on the school run otherwise you’ll be wishing you’d just worn a parka instead” 😩
And the third of my favourite @sewoveritlondon makes is this pair of #soicocooncoat coats. The charcoal one was a gift for my sister but looking at these photos again, I feel I might need one for myself!! The checked one has been my go-to winter coat since it came off the sewing machine and I still love it to pieces.
@sewoveritlondon is 10 years old!! Huge congratulations - indie pattern goals right there!
You’d think I really was off to an office somewhere... today’s #MeMadeMay2021 #DiyWorkwear post features a @schnittchenpatterns #cocojacket and a modified @michelle.a.sews #msp_agnes skirt. The jacket in particular is one of my favourite makes as the plain black @lintontweeds fabric has a beautiful texture, and a black tweed cardigan jacket goes with all the things.
For #MeMadeMay2021 I’m trying to think critically about my handmade wardrobe and the items I reach for most. This is a sample of an upcoming pattern and I already know I’ll be wearing it all summer!
