👋🏾 Just topped up my interfacing supplies, and it reminded me to share this little tip. I keep a little swatch of each interfacing, together with notes on what to use it for and how to apply it. It’s a real time saver when it comes to stocking up because I know exactly which product code I need for which projects, and because I’ve only secured one edge, I can place a swatch of my garment fabric over it and see how they handle together, weight wise. I would then fuse a little test piece to be sure, but this helps to quickly narrow down my selection. It’s also great when I’ve cut off the selvedges and can’t remember which interfacing requires dry heat as opposed to a damp cloth!
I feel like his body language says it all 💔
Just because I found an app that turns photos into ‘paintings’ 😂
This project was high octane in short spurts... I had to put it away every now and then but each time I picked it up again it was with a jolt of excitement. And not even silly mistakes can dampen that excitement now that it’s done. I love it.
Merry Christmas, lovely people! Hope you’re all enjoying the day, or the festive period more generally, wherever you are and however you’ve been able to spend it. May 2021 bring peace, love and prosperity your way. Thank you for being part of this wonderful community! ❤️
Ok, ok, that’s the last #islatrenchcoat sneak peek until the blog post / IGTV is ready!
